Swiss romance continues in 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'

Yash Chopra can be credited for single-handedly making Switzerland one of the most desired destinations for Indian tourists. Some of the filmmaker’s cult hits including Chandni, Lamhe and Darr have been shot against the pristine white mountains of the country.
SRK and Katrina Kaif
No wonder that for his directorial comeback, Chopra chose Switzerland once again as a backdrop for the Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif-Anushka Sharma romance. A source close to the production house tells us, “Yash Chopra doesn’t want to leave out his favourite destination this time, as there was no opportunity for him to showcase Switzerland in his last film Veer-Zaara.”
A song based on SRK and Katrina will be shot there and the lyrics of the track have been penned by Gulzar. Apparently, shooting at the Alps was a last-minute decision and the source adds, “Shah Rukh will fly to Switzerland from Mumbai while Kat, who is currently shooting in Chicago, will leave from there.”

The king of romance, Shahrukh Khan is back and how!

The immense interest and unprecedented hype that was seen amongst the movie buffs, what with the unveiling of just the first look and the title of Yash Chopra's up till now untitled project, JAB TAK HAI JAAN. It is enough to send a very simple message, and that is, the king of romance Shahrukh Khan is back to woo his fans once again, the DDLJ way! And his fans are loving it!

It's been ages since Shahrukh essayed an all-out romantic role. The last that one remembers him is RAB NE BANA DI JODI in 2008. But even in the Aditya Chopra directed film SRK did not play the kind of cute, charming, suave, sophisticated lover boy act that his fans all over the world love him for.

However, one look is enough to show that director Yash Chopra, who gave us memorable love stories like KABHI KABHI, CHANDNI, DIL TOH PAGAL HAI, VEER-ZAARA  etc is in vintage form and nothing short of another memorable romantic role is expected from SRK.

CHECK OUT: Yash Chopra's Shahrukh Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer titled JAB TAK HAI JAAN

What must be added here is that the superstar is looking dashing and handsome in his stubbled, rugged military look and has never looked as good as this for quite a while!

The army backdrop has always worked well for any romantic saga and even Hollywood classics like GONE WITH THE WIND and on the home turf, Yash Chopra's very own iconic SILSILA and Rajesh Khanna's ARADHANA are a testimony to the fact. And so we are sure that it will work in a big way for SRK to deliver a romantic role of a lifetime, one that his fans will cherish and enjoy forever, just like DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE!

No star would've agreed for 'Vicky Donor': Shoojit Sircar
There was a reason why director Shoojit Sircar decided to rope in fresh actors for "Vicky Donor". He says he roped in Ayushmann Khurrana for "Vicky Donor" after a "star" refused to be a part of the film, which turned out to be a sleeper hit.
"The storyline was very unconventional and when I approached a star with the script, he liked it, but had some apprehensions about it and after that I realised that no star would agree to do this film," Sircar said.
"It was then that I decided, I shall have a complete fresh cast and crew for this film," Sircar said at a talk at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai.
The film, based on sperm donation, also featured newcomer Yami Gautam.
"Ayushmann was an easy pick but we auditioned a lot for the female lead," said Sircar.
"I run a theatre group in Delhi called Act1 and Ayushmann and Yami were trained in acting there for three months and I also took workshops with them for 15 days," he added.
